Now Here's Something You Don't See Every Day...

A Pretty Good Deal

Here's what we found in our research:
Next we’ll take a look a Dell Laptop giveaway from Elise Petri’s Consumers Reward Solutions under her “Brand Giveway Centre” domain. This is another familiar Silver/Gold/Platinum process requiring a 2-2-9 selection set to qualify for the incentive.

The only thing we noticed from the beginning was how few offers there were available—only 47 total on all three pages--out of which to make our 13 required selections. Especially since the Platinum page was going to be such a tight fit when we had to take the nine selections out of only 13 ad/banners. But, we were thankful that there were no duplicates (i.e. the same brand name offerer having two or more of the 13 ads) which cuts down the margins of choice even further. (This appears to be an increasing trend among FO sites as we have noticed more and more Platinum pages fewer available ad/banners from which to choose.)

Such A Deal: Silver And Gold For $7

We started off, as we often like to do, getting through the Silver page for $0, by taking two free offers. One was from Free Credit Report and the other was from eMusic (each of these having only reasonable monthly memberships). Which brought us to the 15 offers on the Gold page where we opted for the two lowest, the grant CD kit from Grant Funding Source for $2.87 and the Internet Career Kit trial offer for $3.97.

Platinum Ending

Which brought us to the last selection page for a mere $6.84, not counting any of the associated memberships. On the Platinum Page there were only three risk free trials (RFT) for a total of $19.85, so we took those immediately. Then, we took two outright sales that totaled $69.95 and the remaining four choices were monthly subscriptions that totaled $85.89. And that qualified us for the Dell XPS Laptop for an outlay of $182.53, again disregarding the monthly memberships that accompanied the three RFTs. We chose not to participate in the available “second tier” bonus gift offers that followed the main pages.

The Proverbial Bottom Line

We found this to be a fairly good FO site, overall. The XPS 1530 is Dell’s upper-range laptop and prices start right at $1,000 with refurbished ones going in the high $600s. If you would like to check out this offer you can do so by clicking here.
