    Every Once In A While,
    You Come Across The
    Falcon Statuette
Here's what we found in our research:

A Lovely, Hot Dish Of Double Happiness

We recently reviewed the free offer for a $1000 Visa Card from our friends in the great Pacific Northwest, Your Gift Cards Direct, LLC. Their site presents the typical Silver/Gold/Platinum offer pages requiring a 2-2-6 selection process. We counted 115 ad/offer selections over the three pages, so our goal of completing ten of those didn’t seem too daunting a task, unless we came across a surprise or two on the way. Here’s a quick narrative on how we did it:

After registering and paging through the optional surveys, we got to the Silver offer page and immediately noticed the availability of a quick bonus selection. The bonus offer told us that, if we chose this special offer as one of the nine qualifying choices, we would receive a $50 Visa Gift Card. This offer would cost us $1 plus up to $9.41 shipping and handling. That made for an interesting option, to say the least but, since our main objective at FOD is to find the least expensive way to qualify for the incentive gift, we couldn’t take advantage of this great offer for an extra gift card, not to mention the monthly membership which are incumbent for this type of risk free trail (RFT) offer.

Silver Selections

So, we continued on to find a little cheaper offer and came across our favorite, the eMusic 25 download offer. It’s our favorite because it’s free, only involving a monthly membership when the 25 downloads are completed. Later, we came across another of our favorites (because it is also free) FreeCreditReport.com. Zero fee up front and only a monthly membership afterward.

There’s Gold in Them Thar Second Page

So we got entirely through the first selection page without any expenditures. We like these kinds of FO sites! On the Gold page we found 50 ad/offers which is about 3 less than we just left on the Silver page. But, alas as we scrutinized the offers here, we found there were zero offers for zero dollars. Of course, there is the Discover credit card offer for $0 cost, but there are so many stipulations (credit approval, activation of the card, and at least one purchase made on it) in order to qualify for the Visa Card, that it’s really easier to look at the other offers. Now, if you’re actually in the market for a credit card you will be way ahead of the rest of us if you choose this Discover offer.

But, we found the Grant Seeker CDs for $2.29 along with the Green Tea Purity weight program for $3.41 to be as close to free as we could get. Keep in mind, both of these are RFTs so there will be monthly memberships involved. But, this put us entirely through two offer pages for a little under $6. Not bad at all, comparatively.

P is for Platinum

Which now brings us to the last page and we must select half of the twelve offers here to complete the qualifications for our $1000 gift card prize. We noticed that, even here on the third page, there are some zero-cost offers, such as Neflix which is a free trial followed by a monthly subscription, and DentalPlans.com which requires that we order a dental health plan. (We notice, however that the cheapest dental plan is about $80 annually.) But, those are two Non-RFTs that will certainly get us closer to our gift card. We also found subscription offers such as DirecTV and ADT for satellite TV and home security monitoring, respectively. Again, if you’re in the market for those types of products, this is a perfect way to get them ordered and your Visa Card prize will be like a rebate.

Likewise the Disney Movie Library, which is a DVD “book club” for $5.97 to start. But, those are fairly specialized offers and may not appeal to everyone. And, again, two of the twelve offers are from Discover Card which we’ve talked about previously.

So, that means for our four or five remaining required offers, we’ll use the Video Professor offer (up to $6.95 S&H) and the health and beauty RFTs (XaniThin, $4.95, plus Ultimate Facial and Eyepothesis, up to $5.95 each).

The Proverbial Bottom Line

Then, all of this means we could complete the qualification offers for our $1000 Visa Card for under $30, and likely a little cheaper depending on our choices of a free subscription or two. This then, by far, is the winning free offer site, based on having the lowest initial cost requirements, of all those we’ve reviewed recently. And, keeping in mind there were monthly memberships that accompanied some of these offers, we think, if you are in the market for a number of these offered items, that you check it out here.

The Hits Just Keep On Comin'

Who says lightning never strikes twice in the same place? We discovered another FO site almost identical to this one. The Silver page opens with a bonus $50 Visa Card and you can get all the way to the Platinum page for a little over $3! Out of the 115 ad/offers on the three pages, it's possible to complete all the qualifications for under $45. And there are bonus retail gift cards (Sears, Best Buy, K Mart, etc.) that can be obtained in the second set of offer pages, if you so choose. So, it's a virtual clone of the one we reviewed above and it's offered by eTravel Panel out of Chicago. As before, we believe this is quite a bargain to get through all the qualifications on the sunny side of $50. Even with the monthly memberships that accompanied some of these offers, we think it's still worth a look-see. You can quickly do this by clicking here. Enjoy!

We’d also welcome your blog comments on what you think about our articles there. Or, if you'd rather email us, please do so by clicking here. We'd love to hear from you.

Here’s wishing you the Best of Bargains,
